エゴグラムで自分を知ろう＜前篇＞

メンタル・イデア・ラボの本城ハルです。

今回は自分を知る（自己分析）のひとつの手段として、誰でも簡単にできるエゴグラムについてお話します。

性格は親から受け継いだ気質、育った環境、積み重ねてきた経験など、さまざまな要素で作り上げられています。エゴグラムでは、性格は【親の自分（Ｐ）】【大人の自分（Ａ）】【子供の自分（Ｃ）】の３つを柱に、それをさらに【５つの私】に分けた性格から成り立っていると考えます。

エゴグラムを活用することで、今の自分の心の働きを客観的に知り、より良い望む方向へ自分を変えていくことができます。

  • ＣＰ：批判的な親
  • ＮＰ：養護的な親
  • Ａ：合理的な大人
  • ＦＣ：自由な子供
  • ＡＣ：従順な子供

という分類に分けて各１０問に、はい（○）、どちらでもない（△）、いいえ（×）で答え、○＝２点、△＝１点、×＝０点で計算し、下のグラフに書き込みます。

それでは質問です。

①何事もきちんとしないと気が済まないほうだ。

⑧絵を描いたり歌ったり、自分を表現することが好き。

①人の顔色や行動を気にする。
②自分の気持ちを抑えてしまう。
③劣等感が強い。
④頼まれてもすぐにやらず、引き延ばす癖がある。
⑤人からよく思われようと無理をすることがある。
⑥他者の言うことに影響されやすい。
⑦憂鬱な気持ちになることが多い。
⑧消極的で遠慮がち、引っ込み思案である。
⑨他者の機嫌を取ろうとすることがある。
⑩内心不満があっても、表面では満足しているように振る舞う。

グラフに書き込み、高いところ、低いところに目を向けてみましょう。

最も高いところは『あなたらしさ』に繋がっている部分ですので、そこを変えるのは無理があります。低い部分を高めることで全体のバランスが良くなります。

ここでわかりやすくそれぞれが持つ長所、短所をみてみましょう。

低い部分を高めようとする時、自分の中に、ある種の“抵抗”を感じるはずです。変化を妨げようとするのは、ほとんどの場合、一番高い部分です。そのジレンマが生まれるのは自然なことだと理解し、無理のない範囲で取り組んでいくことが大切です。

後篇では、それぞれを伸ばすために心掛けたい言動についてお話します。
