“自社新商品の売上を伸ばす”というゴールを目指す時に、そこにはいろいろな部署の人たちがさまざまな関わりを持ちながらプロジェクトを進めます。それぞれ立場が違う人がいろいろな考え（意見）を出し合う場面もあります。
当然ながら立場が違う人たちが自分の考えや意見を最優先させよう（させたい）とすることで衝突が起きます。まず、
考え方や意見、立場の違いは問題ではありません。
問題となるのは、
意見や立場の違いを受け入れたり認めることができない、あなた自身の『〜すべき』という“思考”です。
自動思考になってしまっていて自分が『べき』思考になっていることにさえ気づけないこともあります。
商品開発部ＶＳ営業部、という構図で考えてみましょう。
営業部はその新商品の素晴らしさは知っています。が、操作がごちゃごちゃと分かりづらいというお客様からの声を受け、「確かにその通りだ、商品自体は素晴らしいのだから、もう少し使い勝手よくシンプルで分かりやすくなればお客様は喜ぶ。絶対に売上は伸びるはず。ここは開発部がお客様の意見に耳を傾けるべきなんじゃないか」と考え、意見を出します。
開発部は、技術のすべてを投じた商品に絶対の自信を持っており「多少の複雑さがあっても商品自体は素晴らしいのだから、その素晴らしさをもっと説明して納得してもらうような営業をするべきだろう」と考え衝突します。
クリエイティブの現場でも衝突はしばしばです。映像業界なら監督と役者、広告業界なら営業部と制作部、カメラマンとアートディレクター・・・、共通の目的は『良いものを創る』ということですが、建設的な衝突を繰り返しながら、協働で一つのものを創っていきます。まさに現場は人間臭さに溢れています。
この“べき”は正しい意見のようにも聞こえますが、実は“自分サイド”の要求（欲求）でしかないことが多くあるのです。
“新商品の売上を伸ばす”、“良いものを創る”というゴールを目指し、より良い着地点を模索するために立場や部署が違う人たちが意見や考えを出し合うわけですから、
怒りの引き金になりやすい『〜べき』思考にならないように意識しましょう。
言い換えれば、怒りに任せた感情的なぶつかり合いだけで終わらせず、共通の目的を意識して、互いの納得点や共通認識点を確認するという人間臭い作業を丁寧に繰り返し、擦り合わせていく、と言えます。その仕事に携わる誰もが気持ち良い充実感を体感できる環境を、お互いで創出していきたいものです。それができた先には、きっと立場を超えた信頼感や絆みたいなものが得られるのではないでしょうか。
